Cambrian Centre

The Cambrian Centre is a new landmark mixed-use development where an office component of 77,000 sq ft will provide space for 1200 Admiral Insurance staff. Located in the city centre, the site will benefit from Newport’s excellent transport links.

Market Quarter

The Market Quarter in Newport’s centre is undergoing a £5 million investment to sensitively redevelop some of our city’s oldest buildings. Retail and dining premises will be created, improved and expanded.

The new £35 million university campus opened in Newport city centre in 2011. As well as injecting a population of almost 3,000 students into our city centre, the world-class campus unites creativity with entrepreneurialism.

Over 7,500m2 of retail space was created by the £24 million development, providing jobs and shopping facilities to the residents of Newport since its opening in 2010. It is one of the largest Sainsbury’s stores in Wales.

The Old Arts College

With an investment of £6 million, the redevelopment of the Grade II listed Old Arts College building provides 63 new apartments and three town houses, right in the heart of our city.

Part of the hotel is a 19th Century manor house, and the whole resort enjoys state-of-the-art facilities. Its three championship golf courses achieved international recognition when Newport hosted the highly-acclaimed Ryder Cup tournament in 2010, boosting local pride.
